Semester I

This course is a basic introduction to Accounting.  Material covered will include the double entry system of recording business transactions and keeping a set of books for an individual in a sole proprietorship.  Interpretation of financial statements will be included.  Students will use the computer lab and will learn to do automated accounting.  There will be many opportunities to use the latest software in accounting.  This course is a valuable prerequisite for college accounting or is important for any person interested in a management or secretarial position.


Semester 2

Accounting I is a prerequisite for this course.  This course is a continuation of Accounting I with major emphasis on departmental accounting, partnership accounting, and corporation accounting. Students will be in the computer lab and automated accounting will be taught.  This class is a must for students going on to college with an interest in the business-related professions.
