This course is designed to provide an overview of world history from B.C 300 to the present. Throughout the year the focus will be on those civilizations and eras with the most profound impact upon the present through their political institutions, economic activities, social structures, religious beliefs and practices, cultural achievements, and technological innovations. The course is intended to develop student’s communication and reasoning skills through activities requiring reading, writing, oral presentations, group work, map and graph interpretation, critical analysis of historical sources and artifacts, computer activities, and projects.
